The project addresses research questions through four transnational thematic areas, which are divided into several case studies.
“Magazines: The circulation of ideas and images” analyzes the flow of ideas and images through professional and avant-garde magazines.
“Typographic materials: Foundries, catalogues, and specimens” considers the dissemination of typographic material, particularly through the circulation of foundry catalogues and specimens.
“Projects: Major works, identities, and exhibitions” examines large national and international graphic projects (manuals, corporate identities, exhibitions) and their dissemination across different national scenes.
“People: Migrations, practices, and teaching” studies the migration of individuals, their professional and teaching practices as vectors for the principles of the new typography.
